Meet the Founder

Melissa Hilmanowske

We started Halcyon Hill Gardens a few years ago after moving out into the country. I am married to Brent and we have two grown sons. I have always enjoyed gardening, but felt propelled forward a few years ago to expand and start a business.

I am also a nurse, and have loved being able to challenge myself in a completely different area. I love the cycle of life and seeing something change from a tiny seed into a beautiful flower. I love the anticipation each day brings as the flowers and plants grow and change. I never can get over the miracle of growth. There is so much joy in being able to share the beauty with others and see how flowers are able to bring people together.
