We believe that flowers are able to bring joy into every day life.  By providing exquisite, thoughtfully curated arrangements and events, as well as well as the tools to do this on your own, we aim to bring joy and inspiration to every occasion, fostering meaningful connections between people and the moments that matter most.

OUR STORY

We started Halcyon Hill Gardens a few years ago after moving out into the country.

I am married to Brent and we have two grown sons. I have always enjoyed gardening, but felt propelled forward a few years ago to expand and start a business.  I am also a nurse, and have loved being able to challenge myself in a completely different area.

I love the cycle of life and seeing something change from a tiny seed into a beautiful flower.

I love the anticipation each day brings as the flowers and plants grow and change.  I never can get over the miracle of growth.  There is so much joy in being able to share the beauty with others and see how flowers are able to bring people together. 

I started gardening with our first house 26 years ago but had no experience.  I learned a little at a time and slowly was more successful, but there were not as many resources for learning.  In 2020 my husband started clearing an area for a vegetable garden for me.  That quickly morphed into planting flowers and more perennials.  I had never planted annual flowers before and quickly got the "bug".  I also had started buying flowers during the winter to brighten my kitchen during Covid.  I was pleasantly surprised what a difference they made for me with the little moments of pleasure that they brought.  

I have a science degree and am so fascinated by the cycle of growth.  I really enjoyed learning more and more about how things grow differently and all of the different varieties, especially with a product that gave so much beauty and reward.

There is pleasure and rest in taking the time to thoughtfully put together the arrangements as well.

So much of what I do is task oriented and I really found the floral arranging was a good outlet for my artistic side. My hope is that our gardens and the offers from within them help you to do the same.
